Accommodations

The HiPC 2011 meeting and social events will be held at The LaLiT Ashok Bangalore Hotel. A block of rooms for HiPC attendees at special rates has been arranged for three types of accommodations. See Lalit Ashok Website for sleeping room details. This page contains information for securing accommodations at the conference hotel. All of the above rates include buffet breakfast. Room tax is currently 17.5% of tariff. Unlimited WiFi usage is available at INR 400++ per night (*included in Premier Pool View rate). Airport transfers may be arranged at INR 2000++ each way.

The above rates apply for the period December 17th to December 22nd. To obtain the guaranteed special rate, make reservations by November 15, 2011. Bookings after that date are at Best Available Rate of the hotel. Note to international travelers: The actual dollar or Euro amount charged will be based on the credit card exchange rate applied by your credit card bank at the time the reservation is made.

Ways to Make Reservation

Online	Go to http://www.thelalit.com/ and under Quick Reservation, select LaLiT Ashok Bangalore and proceed to booking. No code is required, and you should find accommodations at or below the guaranteed HiPC 2011 Special Rate. If rates are higher or if there is no availability shown, then use one of the options below: Call or Email.

Email	Contact person for room reservations, HIPC: Miss Jessica, Asst. Manager, Room Reservations. Reservation email: [email protected]. Please specify that you are a delegate of HiPC 2011 and eligible for the special rate and provide the following information: 1) Name, address, telephone, fax and contact email. 2) Accommodation requested (category of room, single/double occupancy, if airport transfers required). 3) Arrival and departure information (date, flight no. and time). 4) Credit Card guarantee (name, number, type and expiry date).

Deposit: Rooms will be confirmed by a charge on an approved credit card for one night. Cash payment may be made in person. Ensure that the credit card used will not expire before end of stay. Non-India registrants should check that card is authorized for international payment.

Cancellation: Cancellation of any rooms booked before November 15, 2011 can be done before December 3, 2011. After that date, one night retention will be charged. Bookings made after November 15, 2011 will be charged one night retention in case cancelled. Any bookings cancelled after 12.00 noon on December 17, 2011 will incur a 100% retention charge.

Important Information Regarding Accommodations for HiPC 2011:

Individual attendees are responsible for making their own arrangements for accommodations. The special HiPC rates offered here by the conference hotel Lalit Ashok apply to reservations made before November 15, 2011 and are subject to availability, so book early.
While the special HiPC rates are discounted from rack rates, they may not be the lowest available and attendees may want to check other properties. Additional hotels in the area include: Le Meridien, ITC Windsor, and Magaji Orchid. Most sites for booking hotels provide mapping to locate other properties in relation to the conference hotel.
