Background on Symposium

The Industry Research and User Symposium (IRUS) has consistently led the way in uniting solution providers and users of HPC, Cloud, and Data platforms. This dynamic platform fosters open discussions on challenges, successes, and technological advancements in computational and data sciences. Past IRUS sessions ( 2022, 20212019, 201820172016 links) have seen robust participation from industry giants like Amazon, Google, Flipkart, Intel, Infosys, Microsoft, Shell, TCS, Xilinx, and academic institutions such as CERN, IISC, IIIT, and TIFR, as well as innovative start-ups like Prescience Insilico, Khosla Labs, Ushur, and Forus Health.

Laks Raghupathi, IRUS Session Chair

Dr. Laks Raghupathi is a seasoned product leader with over 19 years of experience in delivering impactful AI and digital products. Currently the Lead Product Owner at Shell, he manages Shell MarketHub, driving high customer adoption and meaningful business results. His expertise includes B2B eCommerce, supply chain, healthcare, and energy sectors. Laks excels in building globally diverse, high-performance teams and effectively utilizing AI to achieve business objectives. Additionally, he chairs the IEEE Data Analytics Industry Chair and mentors emerging talent in the field.

 

 

Chiranjib Sur, IEEE HiPC General Vice-chair

Shell and Krea University

Dr. Chiranjib Sur offers a blend of leadership in future technologies of large-scale computational e.g., quantum, High Performance Computing, and Data Science with 22+ years of experience in academia and industrial R&D and proven leadership in building the high-performance computing (HPC) community in India.

 

He served as the general co-chair of the IEEE Conference on High-Performance Computing, Data, and Analytics (HiPC – www.hipc.org) from 2017-2023.

 

Chiranjib is the Head of Engineering for Scientific software are Shell and he also holds the position of Visiting Professor of Computer Science at Krea University, India

 

 

HiPC 2024 is the 31st edition of the IEEE International Conference on High Performance Computing, Data, and Analytics. It will be an in-person event in Bengaluru, India, from December 18 to December 21, 2024
