The HiPC 2006 meeting and social events will be held at the Taj Residency Hotel in Bangalore. See the travel and local information page for more information about the conference location etc.

Rates apply until November 15, 2006. Subject to availability after that date. The rates in Indian rupees are applicable to resident Indian nationals and those Foreign Nationals who reside in India and hold a valid Indian work. The US$ rates mentioned will apply to all Foreign Nationals and Non Resident Indians staying at the hotel.

The above special HiPC rates are available from December 17th to December 23rd and do NOT include applicable taxes, currently 12%, subject to change. The check-in and check-out time is 12 noon. Reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card.

Note that the above rates for both hotels are discounted from the rack rates. However, these may not be the lowest available rates. Check with your travel consultant or visit websites specializing in hotel reservations. Based on seasonal variations and promotions, you may be able to find lower rates at these hotels or others nearby.

To reserve accommodations at the Taj Residency:
Send email to [email protected]. The contact person is Mr.Sabari Nath. Specify that you are an HiPC attendee and eligible for the special rate and provide the following information:
  1. Name, address, telephone, fax, and contact email
  2. Accommodations requested (category of room, single/double occupancy)
  3. Arrival and departure information (date, flight #, and time)
  4. Credit Card Guarantee (name, number, and expiry date)

Cancelling reservations at the Taj Residency:
Cancellation after November 15, 2006 will result in a charge of one night's stay.

Alternative Hotels:

The Park, Bangalore is a recommended alternative hotel for HiPC participants. It is in the same block as the Taj Residency and is within 2 minutes walking distance. For rates and reservations, please visit the hotel's online reservation page. Mention HiPC in the special requests text box.
