Checklist and Instructions for Authors
- HiPC 2003 proceedings will be published by Springer Verlag as Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS).In addition, ACM SIGARCH, one of the conference sponsors, may also publish these papers in a CD/DVD. Therefore, please complete and sign copies of the following two copyright forms:
a) LNCS copyright form for HiPC 2003 proceedings, and
b) SIGARCH release form for the SIGARCH 2003 CD/DVD Conference Compendium.
Please fax the above to (404)-463-9912, or mail to the following address to reach the Proceedings Chair by Aug 15, 2003:
Sushil K. Prasad
HiPC 2003 Proceedings Chair
The Department of Computer Science
Georgia State University
P.O. Box 4110
Atlanta, GA 30302-4110, U.S.A.
- Register for the conference by August 15, 2003 (see Registration link). It is mandatory that at least one of the co-authors register for the conference before or at the time that the camera-ready paper is uploaded. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT! If at least one of the co-authors is not registered by this date, your paper will not be included in the conference proceedings, and it risks being rejected for presentation at the conference as well.
- Carefully follow the LNCS’s Instructions for Authors for preparing your manuscript. The LNCS’s instructions page also contains .tex/.doc style files and samples, which authors are encouraged to employ. For detailed formatting guidelines, consult the LNCS’s Authors Instruction for the Preparation of Camera-ready Contributions.
Full papers are limited to 10 pages. Note that 10 pages under LNCS format is much less than 10 pages under IEEE format, so be mindful of this when preparing your final manuscripts.
You may buy up to two additional pages at a cost of U.S. $100 per page. All page-charge checks must accompany the copyright forms to the Proceedings Chair.
- Electronically submit your paper to Proceedings Chair using the Camera-ready Paper Submission Form by Aug 15, 2003. For problems, email to [email protected] or to [email protected].
What to Submit?
- Upload a single archived file comprising all your files. If desired, you may compress your file. The uploaded archived file must include your source files (e.g., .tex or .doc files). Here are some pointers on archive/compress utilities? Do not submit any hard copies.
- Archive and submit the following:
For Latex/Tex users (strongly preferred):
- Your source (input) files, e.g. TEX files for the text and PS or EPS files for figures.
- Any style files, templates, and special fonts you may have used.
- The final DVI file.
- The final PS file, and, if possible, a PDF file of the final version of your contribution. When generating the PS file avoid using the option "reverse order."
For MS Word and other users (discouraged):
- Your source (input) file, e.g. .doc file for the text and files for figures, if any.
- Any style files, templates, and special fonts you may have used.
- The final RTF file
- The final PDF file, if possible, of the final version of your contribution.
